The Poetry Prom, which took place at the Snape Maltings earlier this summer (22nd August), attracted one of the big audiences seen at a poetry event in the UK in recent years, with a total of 758 people attending. The near sell-out event (the concert hall was at a 96% capacity) was organised by The Poetry Trust, the same people who will be running the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival later this year.
The performers this year (pictured L-to-R) were Adrian Mitchell, the Scottish poet Helena Nelson and Michael Rosen.
